Medina police arrest man accused of kidnapping woman in Missouri
MEDINA, Tenn. — A report of a suspicious person led Medina police to a man who had reportedly kidnapped a woman in Missouri.
Officers responded around 11:15 p.m. Thursday to a call about a suspicious person walking around Sonic, according to documents from Gibson County General Sessions Court.
Police spoke with a man later identified as Clint Arrington, 47, of Perryville, Missouri. Dispatch confirmed Arrington was wanted on fugitive warrants out of Missouri.
Arrington was arrested and was found to be detaining a woman in the car with him, according to police.
The woman told officers Arrington forced her to leave with him and that he had threatened to harm her ex-husband and son, according to court documents.
Police say Arrington attempted to run away while handcuffed.
Police reportedly found a pipe in the car that later tested positive for meth.
Arrington was also in violation of an order of protection, according to the court papers.
Arrington faces charges including aggravated kidnapping and evading arrest.
He is being held in lieu of a $150,000 bond.
