Police seek to ID suspect in jewelry store theft
JACKSON, Tenn. — Police are investigating a theft of more than $7,000 worth of jewelry from a store in the Old Hickory Mall.
On March 26, a man snatched $7,300 worth of jewelry from a clerk at Reeds Jewelers before running toward the south entrance of the mall, according to a release from the Jackson Police Department.
The stolen items included a set of diamond earrings and a white gold necklace with a diamond pendant. The incident was captured on surveillance video.
Police describe the suspect as a heavy-set black man with gold teeth and multiple tattoos on his arm. He reportedly was wearing a yellow and black shirt, jeans and a ball cap.
