FUMC hosts “Great Day of Service” for Month of Miracles

Cfm5__JWsAAVNedJACKSON, Tenn.—One local church is helping kick off the Month of Miracles.

First united Methodist Church in Jackson held a “Great Day of Service” hosting 14 different community service projects.

They packed care packages for the homeless, made hats for preemie babies at the hospital, landscaping, and other projects at different locations throughout the Hub City.

The church said they had around 150 volunteers work most of the morning.

“It’s very humbling I’m overwhelmed because I wasn’t really sure what to expect when we started putting this together. The church members have just been incredible and have come together in such great support of this so it’s very humbling,” organizer Heather Taylor said.
