Jackson Chamber honors local student

JACKSON, Tenn. — A local student is awarded one of Jackson’s top honors for achievement inside and out of the classroom.

Youth of the Year Jennifer BrileyJennifer Briley, a senior at Trinity Christian Academy, was honored Tuesday by the Jackson Chamber as 2016’s “Accepting the Challenge of Excellence” award winner.

Briley plans to begin her studies in business this fall at Union University where she’ll continue a growing career of inspiring those around her.

“Probably being able to look at others and say you can do the same exact thing, just seeing that it’s an honor to me and to my parents and everyone who supported me,” Briley said.

Tuesday’s ceremony also served as the Exchange Club’s kickoff to this year’s Flags of Freedom project, which will feature a display set to go up next month on Memorial Day.
