Noranda to auction aluminum products business
HUNTINGDON, Tenn. — One of Huntingdon’s largest employers is now for sale.
According to Noranda representative Josh Parker, the company has filed a motion seeking approval for bidding procedures for a court-supervised auction of its aluminum products business.
If more than one bid is received, then an auction will take place June 2.
The owner of Noranda filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy in early February.
The company says it hopes any new owner would keep its almost 400 employees.
