Man accused of holding family members at knife-point in home

JACKSON, Tenn. — A man is facing aggravated kidnapping and assault charges after police say he held several people at knife-point in a Jackson home.

Wesley Langford, 24, is accused of holding his mother, father, girlfriend and roommate against their will early Wednesday at a Marcon Place home, threatening to kill them if they tried to leave or call police, according to court documents.

He also reportedly hit his girlfriend in the head with a pool cue and also used it to hit his mother in the wrist.

Langford also is charged with resisting arrest. Police say he tensed up and pulled away when they tried to take him into custody.
