Nation of Islam leader to speak in Nashville this week

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan is speaking in Nashville this week during a conference at Tennessee State University.

The Black United Summit International Leadership Conference is designed to foster leadership among students at historically black colleges and universities. Farrakhan will speak at 6 p.m. Saturday in the Kean Hall Gymnasium.

Farrakhan will address strategies and skills to encourage equality for the black community. The Tennessean reports the conference will also include sessions on leadership, conflict resolution, forming a business plan and self-defense training.
