City announces road closures for festival Friday and Saturday

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson Engineering Department has authorized temporary road closures for Friday and Saturday in the downtown area.

Two lanes of New Market Street from West Lafayette to Union Avenue will temporarily close on Friday and Saturday from 9 A.M. until 11 P.M. each day for the “Jacob Barker Music Fest.”

The event will feature several musical guests and funds raised from the festival will go to St. Jude and the Ronald McDonald house.

The shows are Friday at 3 P.M. to 10:30 P.M. and will continue Saturday from 11 A.M. until 10:30 P.M. at the outdoor amphitheater at the Farmer’s Market.
