6th Annual Arts festival in Casey Jones Village
More 80 artist share their creations with community
JACKSON, Tenn. — Saturday hundreds from all over West Tennessee came to Jackson for the 6th Annual Art in the Village Festival.
More than 80 artists from around the region took over the parking lot of the Casey Jones Village to share their art work with the community.
Visitors were also able to watch artists create items in person.
Events organizers say the goal of Art in the Village is to share the love of Christ through art.
“People can share their creative gift with the community,” said co-founder and artist Mary Spellings. “And I think it’s good for the community to come together to see those gifts and buy unique handcrafted one of a kind items.”
“So many different people out here with different things, things you don’t normally see around town,” said art enthusiast Julie Robbins. “So it’s wonderful. I love it here.”
If you didn’t make it to the Art in the Village Festival Saturday or would like to go back, there will be another arts fest this fall held in September.
