Local runner participates in Boston marathon
MILAN, Tenn. — A local runner hit the streets of Boston on Monday to participate in one of the biggest races in the world.
Robin Robbins of Milan finished the 26-mile trek in 4 hours and 12 minutes.
Robbins said running has always been a big part of his life. But after the 2013 bombings at the finish line, he knew one day that he needed to cross it.
The Boston Marathon is the world’s oldest marathon and first began in 1897.
