THP identifies man killed in Henderson Co. head-on collision

HENDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. — The THP has identified a man killed in a Sunday afternoon head-on collision on Highway 22 south of Lexington.

pic-trafficcrash.jpgJohn Wayne Tulley Jr., 51, of Lexington was killed in the crash that happened around 4:15 p.m. on Highway 22A about five miles south of Lexington, according to a report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

Tulley was driving a pickup truck northbound and attempted to turn onto Joe Horton Lane when he struck a southbound Mazda head-on, according to the report.

Tulley was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report. He is listed as the only person in the truck.

The driver of the Mazda is listed as being injured. The one passenger was not injured.
