Milan Police search for burglary suspects
MILAN, Tenn. — Milan police search for three suspects after a local business is burglarized and it is what they got away with that has officers wanting to find them very quickly.
After throwing a brick through the front door, police said the three suspects were caught on camera raiding the Milan Pawn Shop.
“They threw some kind of object through the front door that caused the entire glass panel to drop out of the door and that’s how they got in,” Detective Chris Vandiver with the Milan Police Dept. said.
As quick as these three suspects broke into the store, they were gone. But not before making off with three long guns.
“They entered the store and left the store all within about 15 seconds,” Det. Vandiver said. “So they were not in there very long and they went right to the items they were wanting.”
Now Milan Police are hopeful the public can identify the men before they commit another crime.
“A lot of times these weapons will fall into gang member’s hands then used to commit other crimes,” Vandiver said. “It could be homicides or even armed robberies.”
The security footage is a bit grainy and only lasts a few seconds but police were able to enhance it.
“Most of it isn’t HD and when you go to try and zoom in on that it pixelates really bad,” Vandiver said.
But with a clear shot of each suspects face and clothing officers said they have a place to start.
“Even though it doesn’t look like a whole lot to someone who knows him it’s going to be huge,” Vandiver said.
Milan Police said they did recover fingerprints from the scene which could also help identify the suspects.
