U.S. Marshals in Jackson arrest Texas fugitive wanted on homicide charge
JACKSON, Tenn. — U.S. Marshals captured a fugitive wanted on a homicide charge in Texas on Monday at a Jackson apartment complex.
Marshals received a tip that Anthony Wilson, 19, had fled to Jackson to avoid capture, according to release from the U.S. Marshals Service. He is wanted by the Texarkana Texas Police Department for an incident that occurred there last month.
With the help of the Jackson Police Department Gang Unit, they found that Wilson was staying with his girlfriend at the Villages Apartments on Old Hickory Boulevard.
Officers surrounded the apartment Monday afternoon, and Wilson then dove through a closed window and landed naked in the front yard, according to the release.
Wilson was taken into custody after a brief struggle, treated for minor cuts and transported to the Madison County Jail to await extradition.
