“Chocolate Happy Hour”, a sweet fundraiser for Youth Villages

JACKSON, Tenn.-Chocoholics from across West Tennessee gather at the All Suites Hotel Thursday night, for a very sweet cause.

Dozens of vendors were on hand as attendees sampled some of the area’s most decadent chocolate treats.
Other artisans from woodworkers to candle makers were also on hand.

Proceeds from the event benefit the families of Jackson served by Youth Villages.
Organizers said it is all about giving back.

“This is about bettering our community. If we want to make changes, this is a step to do it. Never underestimate what you can do to change someone’s life. Every little thing makes a difference,” said Donna Goodman with Youth Villages.

Youth Villages provides help to the community with foster care, adoption and a number of crisis services.
This was the first year for the fundraiser. Organizers said they hope to make the “Chocolate Happy Hour” an annual event.
