Area Girl Scout recognized for her efforts to educate the community
BENTON COUNTY, Tenn.-A ribbon cutting was held today at Nathan Bedford Forrest State Park where a local Girl Scout was recognized for her new addition.
Shelia Little, 15, is a 10th grader at West Carroll High School. Little has been working on an interpretive hiking trail for the park since June of last year and has been striving to add a spark of education and fitness to her community.
She will soon receive the “Gold Award”, the highest award possible in the Girl Scouts organization.
