Coach Butch Jones speaks at FHU
HENDERSON, Tenn.-There was a noticeable sea of orange Friday night at Freed-Hardeman University, where the University of Tennessee’s head football brought his coaching legacy.
Butch Jones, the 24th head coach of the Vols, took the reins of the program following the 2012 season.
FHU’s Sports Advisory Council hosted the dinner and speech to raise money for the university’s intercollegiate athletics program.
“Freed-Hardeman University has just all kinds of big names and to live here in Henderson with the population that we have and to have you know, the university bring these guys in.. is just fantastic,” said Jeff Teague, a Henderson resident.
Hundreds of people attended the coach’s speech at Freed-Hardeman.
