Greenlight Music Festival kicks off this weekend in Jackson
JACKSON, Tenn. — If fun, food and music sounds like something you’d enjoy, you might want to take part in the Greenlight Music Festival.
It began Friday afternoon at Knuckleheads in east Jackson. The three-day event is just $10 a day or $17 for the whole weekend. It’s about $20 to reserve camping, but spaces are limited.
Thirty bands and artists plan to be a part of the event.
“We started it a few years ago to give people a place to play that didn’t have one, people that happen to be under 21 or didn’t like the bar scene,” Greenlight Music Festival founder Jeremy Tucker said. “So I tried to start bringing that back into Jackson to bring people out and put us on the map musically.”
Parking for the event is free, but spaces are limited and guests are encouraged to carpool if possible.
