Paris ‘Fish Fry’ kicks off Saturday

PARIS, Tenn. — Festival season is officially underway in West Tennessee. The “World’s Biggest Fish Fry” begins Saturday with a 5-K and a demolition derby.

Fish FryThe annual event was kicked off with the 5-K Hushpuppy Dash Saturday morning. A demolition derby will take place Saturday evening at 7 P.M. at the fairgrounds. The week’s events include arts and craft shows, rodeos, beauty pageants, a carnival and the “Fish Tent” among many other events.

The “World’s Biggest Fish Fry” is a premier event for Paris, Henry County and West Tennessee that annually attracts people locally as well as nationally, according to the Paris Chamber of Commerce website. The whole festival revolves around the “Fish Tent” which opens Wednesday.
