4 charged in brutal Decatur Co. assault appear in court
DECATUR COUNTY, Tenn. — The four men accused of beating a man within an inch of his life in Decatur County appeared Monday in court.
David Parrott, Mason Niece, Joseph Doyle and Cody Parrott all stood before a judge Monday afternoon. The suspects are facing various charges.
According to the Decatur County Sheriff’s Department, the victim was kidnapped, beaten with bricks and sexually assaulted before being left to die.
Joseph Doyle is charged with rape, especially aggravated kidnapping, and aggravated assault.
David Parrot faces charges of assault and especially aggravated kidnapping.
Mason Niece is charged with especially aggravated kidnapping and aggravated assault.
Cody Parrott is charged with assault.
A judge bound all of the cases over to a grand jury. Their arraignments have been set for the week of May 17.
