Police investigate after truck slams into 2 south Jackson homes

JACKSON, Tenn. — Jackson police are investigating after a truck slammed into two south Jackson homes Wednesday night.

IMG_3100Around 9:40 p.m., police received a call for help after a truck ran into a house in the 30 block of Watlington Road.

Initially, there were reports of a lot of smoke coming from the vehicle, which prompted an emergency response from the Jackson Fire Department. However, no fire ever ignited.

Witnesses said the driver of the truck lost control in a curve and left the roadway, striking two parked cars before driving through a home’s garage. The truck then exited the garage through a wall, hit a fence and came to a stop against the kitchen of the home next door.
