Area Relief Ministries executive director resigns

JACKSON, Tenn. — A longtime leader at a local nonprofit has turned in her resignation.

After a decade of service, Lisa Peoples has resigned as executive director of Area Relief Ministries.

Dubbed “ARM,” the ministry serves homeless and low-income individuals. According to the board chair, the organization accepted Peoples’ resignation Wednesday and nothing out of the ordinary was behind her leaving.

The board said ARM continues to function as usual.
