Actor Danny Glover to speak at Lane College commencement
JACKSON, Tenn.-Actor Danny Glover will be in the Hub City, Saturday.
Lane College is hosting the actor, Saturday as its commencement speaker for their spring graduating class.
Glover starred in hit movies such as “Lethal Weapon”, “The Color Purple” and “Angels in the Outfield.”
Those from the school said Glover will help lead their students into the next chapter of their lives.
“They have done a great work and that’s why we’re bringing such a great name to congratulate them, commend them and also to challenge them,” said Bishop Henry Williamson Sr, chairman of the Lane College trustee board.
Lane’s commencement ceremonies begin at 10 a.m., Saturday at Oman Arena.
