Markos Makes It Official

JACKSON, Tenn — George Markos of USJ announced last week that he was committing to the University Of North Alabama. Friday he made it official, signing his National Letter Of Intent.

Markos has won two doubles state championships as a Bruin, was named the 2014 West Tennessee player of the year.

In his senior season so far, Markos is undefeated and still looking for a state championship as a team.

He was relieved the recruiting process was over and he can now go do something he’s always dreamed of.

“It’s nice because the whole recruiting process is stressful, it’s fun but it’s stressful,” Markos said. “Once you figure out where you’re going, then your good to go. It’s a lot of time and a lot of work.”

During the signing, Markos got choked up during his thank you speech and had to have his coach take over. He said it was just a lot, he had worked hard for this moment and the support from his family meant everything to him.

George Markos will study Business at North Alabama.
