Deputies shut down Crockett Co. business

MAURY CITY, Tenn. — Agents with the West Tennessee Drug Task Force, TBI and deputies with the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department shut down Malone’s Bar and Grill  in Maury City Friday night.

The raid happened during a party. Officers estimated a few hundred people were there at the time. After a month long investigation officers were able to shutdown the bar and change the locks. “Narcotics were brought out of the building. It was a result of several repeat calls, including shootings,” says Captain Jordan Spraggins with the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department.

Liquor by the drink was also being served at Malone’s, which only had a beer license. Now the owner of business will have to appear in court.
