Deputy accused of aggravated domestic abuse sees hearing postponed
JACKSON, Tenn.-The Madison County Deputy accused of trying to strangle his wife, last week returned to court, Monday where his hearing was postponed.
But the judge did order Michael King to complete a course in domestic violence before his next court date on June 20.
The aggravated domestic abuse charge will be dismissed this if he completes the class and stays out of trouble.
The protection order against him was also dropped at the request of the victim.
King is free on $1,000 bond.
According to the Madison County Sheriff’s Department, he remains suspended without pay.
