Opening ceremonies for the 79th annual West Tennessee Strawberry Festival
HUMBOLDT, Tenn.-Hundreds packed Barker Memorial Stadium in Humboldt Monday night to celebrate the official start of the 79th annual West Tennessee Strawberry Festival.
The festival runs through Saturday with up to $100,000 people expected to attend throughout the week. The event lineup is jam-packed with activities the whole family can enjoy.
“If y’all just come over to Humboldt, Tennessee this week, help us enjoy the 79th West Tennessee Strawberry Festival, you’ll see the pride and the spirit we have right here in our city,” said Humboldt Mayor Marvin Sykes.
The famous Grand Floats Parade will begin at 10 a.m., Friday along Main Street, and the 5 and 10K runs will be held Saturday.
