Police find 50-plus ecstasy pills in Jackson motel room
JACKSON, Tenn. — A man is facing drug and evading arrest charges after police say they found ecstasy and marijuana in his Jackson motel room.
Police say they knew Bradley Savage’s driver’s license was revoked when they saw him drive into the parking lot of the Best Western on the Highway 45 Bypass around 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
Savage reportedly went into a room at the hotel and then got back into his car and started to leave the parking lot.
When officers tried to stop Savage, they say he quickly pulled away before leaving the car and fleeing on foot and into a nearby business.
Officers took Savage into custody and then found seven and a half ecstasy pills in his car, according to police.
A search of his motel room led officers to 51 more ecstasy pills, about two ounces of marijuana, two sets of digital scales and a counterfeit $20 bill, according to court papers.
Police say Savage admitted the ecstasy pills in the car belonged to him along with the ecstasy and marijuana they found in the motel room.
Savage faces charges including evading arrest, drug counts and criminal simulation.
He is being held in lieu of a $75,000 bond.
