“Taste of Humboldt” highlights annual Strawberry Festival
HUMBOLDT, Tenn.-Food and fun was on the menu Tuesday night in downtown Humboldt, where the West Tennessee Strawberry Festival is in full swing.
The “Taste of Humboldt” was held at the Opera House, drawing hundreds.
Attendees were able to enter their favorite strawberry and non-strawberry dishes into a contest and enjoy samples from nine different Humboldt restaurants, with proceeds going back to the Strawberry Festival fund.
“It’s a great fellowship and I think when you leave from here you’re going to know there’s a lot more to Humboldt than berries,” said
Dabbie Brasfield, chairperson for the West Tennessee Strawberry Festival.
The 79th annual West Tennessee Strawberry Festival runs through Saturday in downtown Humboldt.
