Man charged in Whiteville armed robbery remains in custody

HARDEMAN COUNTY, Tenn. — The next court appearance has been set for a suspected robber in Whiteville.

Police say Terry Hill was arrested at a local hotel just hours after he allegedly put a knife to a store clerk’s throat and stole money from Gordon’s IGA-Foodland grocery store.

Hill is being held in lieu of a $200,000 bond and is scheduled to appear again in court May 17.
