Jackson couple maintains cemetery for free

JACKSON, Tenn. — An east Jackson cemetery keeps its grass trimmed thanks to a pair of good Samaritans who do the work for free.

Couple maintains Mt. Olivet CemeteryDavid and Loretta Miliken have mowed the grass for free at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery for the last three years. The couple says they enjoy being able to maintain the cemetery.

“It’s a pleasure and it’s a honor to give to these people who are laid to rest out here, and they need the respect,” David Miliken said.

The couple says they have family in the cemetery.

They try to mow the grass once a week, weather permitting.
