Police, neighborhood residents work to arrest suspect accused of firing multiple shots

BROWNSVILLE, Tenn.-A community comes together Friday afternoon to bring a suspect into custody after police say around seven-shots were fired in their neighborhood.

The Brownsville Police Department said it happened around 3 p.m. in the Scott Street area. Police said they worked with those who live in the area and were able to arrest Cordero Parker less than  two hours after the original call.

“One of my investigators spotted the subject with gun after we heard the second round of shots fired, my officer challenged the subject who
threw the gun and took off running. Thanks to Crimestoppers and people in the neighborhood, he was apprehended shortly after,” said
Assistant Chief Kelvin Evans of the Brownsville Police Dept.

Police said Parker is charged with seven counts of reckless endangerment and being a felon in possession of a handgun.
