From buffaloes to lemurs, the brand new mothers attracted people from all over for a unique Mother’s Day celebration.

“This is a special Mother’s Day. We have a big day at the park today — a lot of mothers out here today,” co-owner Claude Conley II said.

Mothers of a four-legged, furry kind, that is. The Safari Park is blooming with new life, but these animals aren’t the only ones enjoying Mother’s Day.

Hundreds of people have made their way out to the park to enjoy this unique experience to celebrate their moms.

“We did hear about the baby zebra and wanted to see that, and we have done the zoo a lot together, so it’s kind of a thing we do,” Nashville residents Mary and Claire Linehan said. They traveled to the park for a special Mother’s Day outing.

Families were able to drive through more than three miles visiting the exotic wildlife while enjoying watching the brand new animals.

“We just like all the babies we are having, and we just love to see everybody having a good time out here at the Safari Park,” Conley said.

The Safari Park currently hosts around 150 different species of animals in the park. They will be adding around 100 more animals to their park around Memorial Day.

They plan on opening up around 80 acres of new land for people to get more hands-on with the wild.
