ROGERSVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has released surveillance video of Carlie Trent, the 9-year-old girl from East Tennessee at the center of an Amber Alert for seven days now.
The surveillance video was captured at a Save-a-Lot grocery store in Rogersville last Wednesday, shortly after Gary Simpson picked Carlie up from school.
The TBI says Simpson previously had custody of Carlie but that custodial rights were recently awarded to her father.
The TBI says it has “imminent concern” about Carlie’s well being.
Carlie is white with blonde hair and blue eyes, about 4 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs about 75 pounds.
Simpson, 57, Carlie’s uncle by marriage, signed the girl out of school under false pretenses Wednesday.
Simpson is balding with brown hair and eyes and was last seen wearing a brown cap, a dark colored shirt and jeans.
They are traveling in a white 2002 Ram 1500 van with a dark stripe down the middle, with Tennessee license number 173GPS.
A $12,500 reward has been offered for information in the case.
If you have seen either of the subjects or have other information, call 1-800-TBI-FIND.
