U of M law school alumni hold reunion
JACKSON, Tenn.-Some of the area’s top attorneys gathered for a bit of a reunion in north Jackson, Thursday night.
The Dean of the University of Memphis’ law school was in town as part of his “dean’s tour.” Dozens of alumni of the Cecil Humphrey School of Law were in attendance, to hear Dean Peter Letsou talk about new programs within his department and future plans.
He also stressed the importance of alumni to the law profession.
“It is important to have them to be continued to be engaged in law school and enthusiastic and excited about what we are doing because our alumni really are one of our greatest assets and it’s our alumni who can really help our students and teach our students and ultimately employ our students,” said Dean Peter Letsou, of U of M’s Law School.
According to organizers, Madison County has produced more judges in one county from the University of Memphis than any other.
