Police investigate stabbing inside west Jackson motel

JACKSON, Tenn. — Jackson police are investigating a stabbing inside a west Jackson motel.

The initial call to police was made just after 9:30 p.m., Thursday.  Police said they found one man seriously injured inside a second floor room of the Super 8 Motel.  It’s located along the Hwy 45 Bypass near Carriage House Drive.  Investigators said the victim was stabbed multiple times and left by ambulance with life-threatening injuries.  Police had no updates on the victim’s condition once he left the scene.

One suspect has been taken into custody.  Neither the person’s name nor charges have been released.

Initially police reported there was a second victim with minor injuries, but later corrected that statement saying there was only one victim.
