Hundreds lace-up for “Relay for Life” in Henderson County
LEXINGTON, Tenn.-Hundreds of West Tennesseans laced up their sneakers, Friday night to help fight cancer.
The American Cancer Society’s “Relay for Life” was held at Beech Lake in Lexington.
The event featured teams walking, cooking and honoring those with cancer and those who have died…
all the while raising funds to fight the disease.
“The coolest part is having all the citizens come out into our area and help us fight back against this cause, everybody from the mayor’s office all the way to any business in town they have got behind us we have 18 sponsors this year and we couldn’t be happier,” said Caleb Butler, chairman with the Henderson County “Relay for Life”.
The event runs through 5 a.m. Saturday morning.
