Police seek man in Memorial Day shooting that injured 1
JACKSON, Tenn. — Police are searching for a man in connection with a shooting Monday afternoon in east Jackson that sent another man to the hospital, according to police.
Jackson police say a man was sitting on the front porch of a home in the 900 block of East College Street when another man got out of a car and started firing rounds at him.
Police say they responded to the shooting around 4:20 p.m. Monday where the victim, a 28-year-old man, was shot once was and taken to a local hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Officers say they are searching for a black male who left the scene in a silver Chevy Avalanche.
Police say the investigation is open and ongoing.
