Deputies search for thieves who broke into church
CARROLL COUNTY, Tenn.- Church members in Carroll County are trying to recover after thieves broke into their building earlier this week.
Leaders at the Marlboro Church of Christ just outside of Hollow Rock said one of their elders found their back door kicked in Monday night. They said the thieves took their sound equipment and ransacked the building taking thousands of dollars of property in the process.
“We love the people of our community and we like to reach out to them and welcome them, and so you know it puts a damper on your spirit a first a little while but we’re going to overcome it,” said Joe Abbott, minister of the Marlboro Church of Christ.
Church leaders still had services ,Wednesday night and are prayerful that the burglars will be caught.
