Library’s annual Book Sale fundraiser kicks off in downtown Jackson
JACKSON, Tenn. — Thousands of discounted books are up for grabs, and all sales go to a good cause.
The Jackson-Madison County Library is hosting its annual Book Sale at the downtown location.
Organizers say they have about 10,000 books for sale including everything from religion to fix-it to cookbooks.
Proceeds benefit the Summer Reading Program for children.
“Two dollars for a hardback and 50 cents for a soft back, and we have a large amount of children’s literature left — it’s 20 cents apiece,” said Wanda Scanlon, vice president of the Library Foundation.
You can shop this weekend from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
On Sunday, shoppers can bring a sack or box and fill it with books for just $5.
