Woman dies after single-vehicle crash May 30
JACKSON, Tenn.–A Jackson woman has died after a single vehicle crash near Parsons last week.
Troopers said 72-year-old Joy Johnson crashed her Kia Rio while traveling west on Interstate-40 in Decatur County on May 30.
According to a release from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Johnson ran off the north side of the road before crashing into an embankment and rolling several times.
Johnson was wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
The report states Johnson was taken to Vanderbilt Hospital, where she died Sunday,June 5.
