Kenneth Tester was booked Tuesday into the Madison County Jail on charges of theft and drug possession.

An affidavit says tester freely admitted to shoplifting from Wal-Mart that day as well as another day, taking a cell phone, speakers and a bicycle.

Tester also said he had plans to go back to Wal-Mart with his friends and assault the employee who called police, according to court documents.

Tester, who remains jailed, is set to return to court June 16.
