Workout Wednesday: Using Dumbbells

JACKSON, Tenn — For this weeks Workout Wednesday, I went to Jackson Sports & Fitness with General Manager of Personal Training, Allen Ervin, to discuss quick efficient workouts, using dumbbells. Ervin switched up the style from circuit type workouts to more of up tempo style, exercising multiple body parts at once.

He incorporated ways to workout your arms while doing squats at the same time, now that’s a bang for your buck.

“We want to do multi joint movements and we also want to take multiple movements and try to put them into one particular exercise,” Ervin said.  “That way we can work multiple muscle groups at the exact same time.”

In the video it explains the workouts you should do, Ervin said sets of four would be best with reps ranging from 12-15.
