Washington Youth TourA group of 45 West Tennessee students left Thursday afternoon from Casey Jones Village. They were selected for their short stories about “everyday life,” sponsored by Tennessee Electric Cooperative Association.

Students tell us they are excited about the road ahead.

“To learn how to be a better leader and learn how to communicate better and learn how to explore new things that I am nervous about doing,” Ashton McCage, a rising senior at Crockett County High School, said of the trip.

The group will stay Thursday night in Nashville and are set to arrive in Washington, D.C., on Saturday.
