1 dead, 1 injured in Clarksville shooting
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Police in Clarksville say one man has died and another was wounded in a shooting outside an apartment complex.
Media outlets report police were called to the apartments in Clarksville after shots were reported around 12:45 a.m. Sunday.
In a statement, police say 20-year-old Darius Walton was declared dead at the scene, while 18-year-old Jordan Choate was taken to Vanderbilt University Center in Nashville. Choate’s condition wasn’t immediately available.
The statement released no additional details. It said the shooting is under investigation and that police do not believe there are any threats to the public.
