THP: Overturned tractor-trailer slows traffic along westbound I-40 east of Jackson

UPDATE — The affected westbound lanes are now re-opened as of around 5:30 p.m., according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — An overturned tractor-trailer slows traffic on Interstate 40 westbound near Jackson, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

The right westbound lane is closed near mile marker 90, according to the THP. Traffic is able to pass through the other westbound lane.

Lt. Brad Wilbanks says the lane could be closed an hour or more as crews work to clear the scene.

There is not yet word on injuries.
