Gibson Co. minister’s sexual battery case waived to grand jury

GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn. — A Gibson County minister accused of inappropriately touching a young boy over a four-year period returned to court Tuesday.

James Marcus, 70, was arrested May 20 on two counts of aggravated sexual battery.

Tuesday afternoon, he waived his right to a preliminary hearing, sending the case to the Gibson County grand jury.

Marcus remains in the Gibson County jail in lieu of a $25,000 bond.
