Miss Tennessee Night 3 wraps up preliminary contest
JACKSON, Tenn. — Friday night was the third and final night of preliminary competition for the annual Miss Tennessee Scholarship Pageant.
Once again, the 36 contestants graced the stage of the Carl Perkins Civic Center in talent and swimsuit competition, leading up to Saturday night’s crowning of a new Miss Tennessee.
Fans of the pageant said it is an annual must-see event.
“Well, we’ve seen a lot of people’s talent and their evening gowns and swimsuits. We kind of know what’s going on and we’re waiting for that final result,” said Rita Morgan, who traveled all the way from Florida to see the pageant.
The winner for Friday night’s preliminary in the talent competition is Meredith Maroney, Miss Tennessee Valley, who took top honors with her vocal performance.
Friday night’s swimsuit preliminary winner is Caty Davis, Miss Chattanooga.
The new Miss Tennessee will be crowned Saturday night at the Carl Perkins Civic Center.
