Union hosts team camp
JACKSON, Tenn — The Union men’s basketball team held their annual team camp this week for schools from all over. They have more than 36 schools in attendance this week to not only get better on the basketball court, but to grow as a family away from it.
Head coach from Covingotn, Charles Mitchell said camps like this help improve not only the chemistry, but helps keep players out of trouble away from the game.
“I mean if they took the summer away from basketball, it would be a tragedy,” Mitchell said. “They need to have something to do, it keeps them out of trouble, it builds team chemistry and it gives them a chance to see other things.”
