Downtown business owners talk security, crime prevention
JACKSON, Tenn. — A group of local business owners and other community members gathered Wednesday at the Rockabilly Hall of Fame in downtown Jackson for a meeting to discuss crime prevention.
They also talked about how to react to suspicious situations that may happen near their business or as they travel in and out of downtown.
“When you come here, we want you to know you’re safe,” said Henry Harrison, president of the International Rockabilly Hall of Fame. “If you want to create problems, we can’t stop you in another city, but do not do it in Jackson, Tennessee.”
Police officers also came out to the Rockabilly Hall of Fame to offer suggestions and tips to address safety issues.
