Schools may reclassify

JACKSON, Tenn — Wednesday school representatives from various schools met about the possible reclassification scenarios for West Tennessee High Schools in the Division 1 and 2 levels.

Jackson Christian athletic director, Scott Gatlin broke things down. Their are six classes when it comes to football, which no one is having a problem with. But the problem lies on whether to expand classes in other sports. He said this has been an ongoing topic of discussion for years.

The representatives and coaches were made aware of what would happen if schools decide to switch classes, but the decision is in their hands.

The sides come back to vote on the topic July 27th.
